How God brought us together!

Gary Went to South Africa on a mission trip March 2000, with Galilee's father, Evangelist John Hitchcock, while there I met Galilee on my first day, we had a lovely meal together with the family. John and I left the next day for almost 3 weeks, upon arriving back to her house after church . it was Thursday evening, and pouring down rain, around 11 pm, Galilee and I went for a walk in the rain, she had ask me where her dad and I had been during our time in South Africa, I was able to answer these questions easily, but then she ask me, if God had spoken to me while I was in South Africa, I said you He had, she then ask me what He had said, I told her, I would rather not say. She told me if I would not tell her, that she would tell me, I said go ahead if you think you can, being silly, lol. She responded to tell me God told her, that she was my wife, and I almost dropped my false teeth, and I do not have any false teeth, because that's what He had told me while we were out traveling through South Africa. We walked until about 4 am, just telling each other about our lives growing us on two different sides of the world, it was about 4 am that the Lord told me to propose to her, I argued with the Lord, because I didn't have an engagement ring, and He told me you have a eagle on your necklace , I said you Lord i do, nd He said that that's her engagement ring, because the eagle would fly her out of South Africa to me in America, so I proposed to her in the rain in the middle of the road, she said yes, gave her the necklace, we went back the her house, she started getting breakfast ready for us all, her dad comes into the room for breakfast, and to read the paper. John told us that we must have had a great time, he heard us talking in the sitting room all night, but we were walking the streets all night and not in the house. Galilee told her dad that we needed to talk to him, he put down his paper, and said ok, she started telling him everything that has happened, and he was looking at her, then looking at me, no smile no emotions nothing, she talked about 30 min. to him, then he looked at me, and ask what I had to say about it, I ask him what she said, because she spoke all in Afrikaans, which I did not understand, He told me not to worry about what she said, but tell me what happened, I began to tell him what happened, and he was amazed, because he said that exactly what she had said, and he knew I didn't understand there language to repeat what she had said, John called his wife in America, and told her we would be getting married soon, she told him she knew that, he ask her how, she said the Lord ad showed her us getting married before we even knew I was going to South Africa. He ask her why she didn't tell him about the vision, she said if she had then she would think he done something to put us together, but without him knowing, it must be God.

After breakfast we decided to go apply for Galilee and the kids visa to America, then I flew back to America on Saturday morning, Galilee received her passports and visas on the following Monday morning, a speed never heard of in South Africa, God promoted her paperwork to the top of the list, She picked them up, the the next morning someone knocked on her front door, and handed her an envelope with first class tickets to the United States for June 13, 2000 which just happened to be her birthday, she flew over with the kids, I picked her up at the Atlanta Airport, we drove back to Memphis, and was married almost as soon as she arrived, we've been celebrating our lives happily together ever since.
